Hi there, I'm Mike. I'm interested in Java, Node.js, and learning about operating systems and how/why they work the way they do. I intend to use this site as a place to write down all the random instructions, procedures, and bits of information that I always find myself learning only to promptly forget. Maybe writing things down will help some of them stick. If not, at least I'll know where to look for the information I might need or want.
Professionally speaking, I don't have direct experience in tech, but I'm looking to change that. Up to now I've been employed in heavily people-focused roles such as serving and caregiving. In my quest to learn, explore, and pursue gainful employment I've obtained the A+ and OCA Java SE 8 certifications.
